Served with Pride from Comet Brews brewer & owner BRIAN WILKE and Truffle Cheese Shop’s ARLINE KELLOG, this self-guided beer cheese pairing comes with 4 5oz pours, 4 cheeses, and delicious accoutrements. Brian & Arline will be on-site 6pm-7pm to answer any questions

Dunkelweizen // Tipperary Irish Porter Cheddar : Aged Irish Cheddar permeated with dark Porter that results in a strikingly beautiful brown mosaic and rich, toasty flavor with hints of chocolate hops. The smooth roasted malts & wheat esters of the Wilkenstein Dunkelweizen bring out the cheddar’s sweetness.

The Nelse // Como Una Cabra (Crazy Like a Goat) : A Spanish semi-cured goat’s cheese with a soft, creamy texture and tangy, slightly acidic with a sweet/salty balance on the pallet. The Nelse American lager’s crispness cleanses the palate.

The Brain  // Queso de Oveja Curado Picante : To make this spicy Spanish cured cheese, a mixture of varieties of the hottest chili peppers giving it an intense spiciness but slowed down by the pure sheep’s milk during maturation. The Brain Golden Ale tempers the cheese’s spice, and the cheese’s spice accentuates the Brain’s fruitiness.

The Leslie //  Blufalo : A water buffalo blue cheese! Coming from Italy, this unique blue cheese gets unmistakable notes of sweetness from the extremely rich and nutritious milk. The Leslie Chocolate Ale balances the sharp, salty intensity of the cheese with dark cherries and figs from Haitian cacao nibs.
